Aisha Brooks Johnson
Since 2018, the Rev. Aisha Brooks-Johnson has served as the Executive Presbyter for The Presbytery of Greater Atlanta. She is a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary and holds a degree in Music from Temple University. As a minister and trained jazz vocalist, Aisha is committed to proclaiming the gospel in life-giving and creative ways. She is a songwriter, arranger, and a lover of many genres and styles of music. Aisha counts it a joy to celebrate her marriage to the Rev. Dr. Alonzo Johnson. Together, they love and nurture three children and one grandchild.
Ministering After Natural and Unnatural Disasters

Ministry on a typical day can be chaotic. When something catastrophic happens, it can be downright overwhelming. The truth is that even though nothing can truly prepare you for things like catastrophic flooding, school shooting, or other unforeseen disaster, there are tools that you can put in your ministry toolkit that can help you navigate the turbulence as a pastor, community leader, and human being. Workshop participants will walk away with a preparation gameplan and an awareness of helpful resources.

Ginny Norris-Lane
The Rev. Dr. Ginny Norris-Lane became the executive director of UKirk in July, 2019, after having previously served as campus minister at Schreiner University in Kerrville, TX from 2005-2019. She has been ordained in the PC(USA) since 1999. She has served congregations in San Antonio, TX, and Conyers, GA. From January, 2021 to August, 2023, she also served as the part-time stated supply pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Uvalde, Texas. You may remember her from the video of the prayer service she led in Uvalde the day after the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School. She and her husband, Wes, have two sons, Austin and Max, and a bonus daughter, Chrissy, and live in Kerrville with their two dogs, Hank and Leah.
Christian Nationalism: One Clergywoman’s Resistance

In 2025, Rev. Karen Fitz La Barge founded West Michigan Clergy Action, a 501c4 for clergy to take political action against Christian Nationalism. WMCA recruited 25 clergy to lead the No Kings March in Grand Rapids, MI in October. They work with other organizations opposing the North Lake Detention Center in Baldwin, Michigan, which has over 1500 people detained by ICE. They are working on a respite place for families traveling great distances to visit detainees and to establish more bond funding. She will share the process, the story and offer suggestions for your local context.
Karen Fitz La Barge
Rev. Karen Fitz La Barge is pastor at North Kent Presbyterian Church in Rockford, Michigan. She previously led a redevelopment congregation, First Presbyterian Church of Allegan, Michigan. She has just released a book, Thoughtful Boldness: 52 Reflections for Progressive Soul, shaped by feminist, process and liberation theology. She has launched several nonprofit organizations and helped to save Camp Greenwood, a Presbyterian camp in Michigan. She enjoys board games, trivia, growing roses and life with her family and Maine Coon cat, Venus Aurora.
Earth, Wind, and Fire – Lyrical Prophets & Revolutionary Vocalists

In this workshop, we will explore songs written and performed by Earth, Wind, and Fire. Each song selected will be aligned with Biblical texts to determine how the lyrics are prophetic for our current times. Grooving and dancing may be a result of attendance to such a fun-filled deep dive into exegetical work for preaching and teaching.

CeCe Armstrong
The Rev. Cecelia D. Armstrong is a cradle Presbyterian, educated at Spelman College, the University of Southern Mississippi, and the Interdenominational Theological Center, where she attended Johnson C. Smith Theological Seminary. She was ordained as a Deacon then an Elder before she accepted the call into ministry. CeCe is Co-Moderator of the 226th General Assembly alongside the Rev. Tony Larson. She is Co-Moderator for the National Association of Presbyterian Clergywomen alongside Philomena Ofiori. She serves as Associate Pastor of St. James on James Island in Charleston, SC.

Prior to becoming a minister of word and sacrament, Rev. Elizabeth Wagner served as a CPA for 30 years along with 16 years as a controller. She has now specialized in interim ministry and serves on her Presbytery’s COM. She is currently the transitional pastor of Gladwyne Presbyterian Church in Pennsylvania.

She was the Global Outreach Director for Myers Park Presbyterian Church, Charlotte, and Volunteer Village Coordinator, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (Gulf Coast).
Elizabeth’s region comprises the presbyteries in North and South Carolina.

Reclaimed by Wonder in Christ’s Waters

In a time of deep divisiveness, heavy burdens, burnout, and battle fatigue we are being invited to be reclaimed by God’s Wonder. Together we will explore the biblical concept of Christ’s Wonder over the waters. We will dive into spiritual practices necessary to sustain us in Wonder in such a time as this and realign us in the transforming waters of our Baptism. Come experience a time of deep reflection and prayerful dialogue as we float in the wonder of Christ’s abundant living waters.

Kathryn Kim SongAe Threadgill
Rev. Dr. Kathryn Kim SongAe Threadgill is the Vice President and Dean of Student Formation and Campus Culture at Columbia Theological Seminary. Dean Kathryn works for the holistic development of students throughout the various degree programs, while working with a team to help create a vital campus culture of belonging. Prior to her work with Columbia Theological Seminary, Kathryn served as the Associate Director of Theology, Formation and Evangelism for the Presbyterian Mission Agency of the PC(USA). She has a Masters of Divinity and her Doctorate of Educational Ministries. Her
thesis explored why youth today seldom experience the wonder of God in
worship. As a Minister of the Word and Sacrament, Kathryn has served churches in
Greensboro, NC. and Mobile, AL.
Finishing the Fabric: NAPC Stole Workshop

NAPC stole workshop!
In this pre-conference workshop from 1 to 6 pm on Tuesday, you will put together fabric panels for a light-weight cotton stole. You will assemble the panels from precut squares that you choose from over 1,000 cotton fabrics. (You may also bring your own fabric pieces to incorporate.) No sewing required. The teacher will sew your panels into a green or purple stole and send it to you after the conference. Limited to 12 students. $125 extra fee. (Extra project time can be gained during the workshop slots.)

The Rev. Susan Barnes has served churches in Oregon, Oklahoma, Iowa, and Montana. She is now pastor at John Knox Presbyterian Church in Louisville, KY. She enjoys teaching watercolor-quilting because it requires little skill and yields a substantial result. Susan has been involved in NAPC since 1992.
